Church Elections, Gift Cards, Nursing Home Blessing, Next Financial Series Class

Dear Stillmeadow Family,

It’s thanksgiving week! And you know what I’m thankful for? I’m thankful that God put YOU on this planet and in our church family in this time.

It’s hard to believe that next Sunday, Dec 1, we begin the season of Advent, the season leading up to Christmas. As we go through this season, would you consider the following?

  1. Follow the Advent Devotional. This is a unique opportunity to draw near to God. The Sunday entries are written with families in mind and the daily devotions are for personal devotions. You can pick up at the Welcome Center or you can sign up to have them emailed to you daily (sign up HERE).

  2. Participate in the Christmas Blessing Tree. The tree has tags for the Nursing Home Blessing and a box for collecting items for Good News Global Hope Packs for York County Prison. We have received the GREATEST BLESSING EVER in Jesus Christ and He compels us to be a blessing. Instructions are on www.stillnaz.com/justmercy.

  3. Invite a neighbor to dinner or worship. This can be a lonely time for our neighbors. Many times people are open to coming to church during the Christmas and New Year season. Ask God for an opportunity to invite a neighbor to worship or to a meal (or even both!).

As you respond to his call, engage his word this week. Here’s the reading schedule that includes further exploration of what the Bible has to say…

Weekly Reading (Nov 25-Dec 1)

  • Monday: Psalm 63; Revelation 11:1-14

  • Tuesday: Psalm 76; Revelation 11:15-19

  • Wednesday: 2 Samuel 2:1-7; John 16:25-33

  • Thursday: Nehemiah 9:6-15; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

  • Friday: Nehemiah 9:16-25; 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22

  • Saturday: Nehemiah 9:26-31; Luke 21:20-24

In His Hands and In His Time,

Pastor Josh

Grow with us

No one matures alone. Check out our listing of groups and let us know if you’re interested in one. Contact Karon Kagan (kkagan@stillnaz.com) or Pastor Tabitha Martin (pastortabitha@stillnaz.com) if you’d like help signing up or learning more.

We believe that as followers of Jesus, we are on the pathway of discipleship. This pathway is not linear, but we grow when we gather together, when we take courses to grow in our spiritual formation, when we commit to a life group to practice the mission of Jesus together, when we begin to lead others, and when we pray together. Join our discipleship pathway as we grow with Jesus and one another!

Serve with us

You have been gifted and we’d be honored to serve with you. We’d love to have you partner with us. Click the “Serve” button below for more opportunities.

The daily prayer: All who work in banks and finance; all making financial decisions for York City and County. York County Prison: prisoners and staff and Good News Jail and Prison Ministries. All who are unemployed or underemployed. All public servants. All immigrants.

And let us pray for the requests on our Missions Card.
