Thanks! 10 More Trunks, & More
Dear Church Family,
Thanks!
I was blown away by the “koinonia” (Greek word for “fellowship”) we experienced at our All Volunteer Potluck on Sunday night. Thanks to everybody who gathered and brought good food to share. Thanks to each of the ministry breakout leaders. Thanks to all of you who came!
We Need 10 More Trunks for Trunk or Treat
We have an awesome night planned for our community on October 28. First, we have our Trunk or Treat from 2-4, then we have our York City Campus Fall Fest from 6-8. Some folks serve at both, bringing their decorations from Trunk or Treat to the Fall Fest. We need at least 10 more trunks for Trunk or Treat and would love to have at least 10 more volunteers at our Fall Fest. Check out the opportunities in the “Serve with Us” section below. Or sign up at www.stillnaz.com/trunkortreat2023 or www.stillnaz.com/yccfallfest.
The Question for This Sunday (Oct 22) and the Following Week:
Each week during our “All Church Series” on “How Not To Be The Church” we have one question for all of us to wrestle with. From October 1-29, we will align our hearts around Jesus’ words in Matthew 21-22 and allowing His words to shape our imaginations. (Pastor John, Pastor Chris, Pastor Jade and Chastity and Pastor Rachel will all be preaching throughout this series, and I’m pumped)
What is one thing we can do in faith to decrease hypocrisy and increase authenticity within our homes and church?
Wrestle with this in your small group, in your home or with your friends. And if you’d like, send me an email with your thoughts (pastorjosh@stillnaz.com).

Pray with us
Let’s Pray for Israel and Palestine
What the world has witnessed in Israel and Palestine over recent days is horrific. As Christians, we can join the struggle by praying. Prayercast.com has very helpful guides on how to pray for both the people of Israel and the people of Palestine.
Give with us
God has given each of us gifts for us to share. In addition to giving a regular tithe, consider helping with our FIN Fund or Extreme Express Bus Ministries
FIN Fund — Stillmeadow keeps a benevolence fund to help people in times of need. These funds have helped pay bills, buy groceries, provide a place to stay, give counseling and more. Select “FIN Fund” online or write it in the memo of your check.
Extreme Express Bus Ministries — On Saturdays between May and December, a small group of Stillmeadow Nazarenes take the church on wheels to the children and families of the Parkway Neighborhood in York City. Support the ongoing relational development and life change happening through this ministry.
Quarterly Giving Statement
Stillmeadow accomplishes its mission of Jesus to All Generations through the faithful generosity of God’s people. Because our accountability and transparency are important below is our quarterly income and expense report for the most recent quarter.
Fuller Family Farewell Party & Potluck meal-October 24th!
A few weeks ago we received the news that Pastor Chris is following God’s call to a new path of ministry and he will be leaving us here as Stillmeadow. Although we are sad to see him go, we are excited for him and his family to adventure to this new experience and journey in their walk with Christ. We want to celebrate, say goodbye, and send the Fullers off with a little party & potluck meal to show our appreciation for the last 4 years of ministry to Stillmeadow. On October 24 @ 7pm, you are invited to come to Ignite to celebrate and say goodbye to the Fuller’s as they prepare to start their new journey. Please sign up on the link below if you would like to contribute to the potluck meal, and come ready to have fun and fellowship during Ignite. There may even be an adult vs. teens dodgeball game to end the night! All are welcome!

The funeral for Brian Webb Sr. will be held October 19th at 6PM at the York City Campus. Brian attended the York City Campus prior to entering a care facility. He passed away August 16th.
I conclude this message with the theme verse for Nazarene Youth Conference and our memory verse for the last part of our Romans series:
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
We’re praying for you. Will you pray for us?
