Family Service on Sunday, and more!

Dear Church Family,

Family Service this Sunday

This whole weekend is a family oriented weekend! First, we have our Trunk or Treat from 2-4 on Saturday. Second, we have our York City Campus Fall Fest from 6-8 that same day. (You can still sign up to help at the links below.) Then we have family services, where children and youth will be included in our worship times. Join me in this prayer over the weekend:

Heavenly Father, thank you for making us family. Brother Jesus, help us love each other as you have loved us. Holy Spirit, draw people of all generations to the Father and Son through Trunk or Treat, Fall Fest and family worship.

New Family Space! On the main campus, we will have a family space with a children’s ministry worker set up in the multi-purpose room for families of kids who might need a little bit more space or activity during the service.

The Question for The Final Sunday of our Series (Oct 29) and the Following Week:

Each week during our “All Church Series” on “How Not To Be The Church” we have one question for all of us to wrestle with. From October 1-29, we will align our hearts around Jesus’ words in Matthew 21-22 and allowing His words to shape our imaginations. (Pastor John, Pastor Chris, Pastor Jade and Chastity and Pastor Rachel will all be preaching throughout this series, and I’m pumped)

  • What is one thing we can do in faith to decrease hate and increase love within our homes and church?

Wrestle with this in your small group, in your home or with your friends. And if you’d like, send me an email with your thoughts (pastorjosh@stillnaz.com).

Pray with us

Let’s Pray for Israel and Palestine

What the world has witnessed in Israel and Palestine over recent days is horrific. As Christians, we can join the struggle by praying. Prayercast.com has very helpful guides on how to pray for both the people of Israel and the people of Palestine.

Guide for Praying for Israel is here.

Guide for Praying for Palestine is here.

Give with us

God has given each of us gifts for us to share. In addition to giving a regular tithe, consider helping with our FIN Fund or 30 Hour Famine

FIN Fund Stillmeadow keeps a benevolence fund to help people in times of need. These funds have helped pay bills, buy groceries, provide a place to stay, give counseling and more. Select “FIN Fund” online or write it in the memo of your check.

30 Hour Famine — the Stillnaz Youth will be going without food for 30 Hours to raise funds for those who have to go without food on a regular basis. Join our youth in their efforts to fight poverty and hunger by praying for them and by donating at https://30hourfamine.worldvision.org/team/Stillmeadow.

Quarterly Giving Statement

Stillmeadow accomplishes its mission of Jesus to All Generations through the faithful generosity of God’s people. Because our accountability and transparency are important below is our quarterly income and expense report for the most recent quarter.

Fuller Family Farewell

A few weeks ago we received the news that Pastor Chris is following God’s call to a new path of ministry and he will be leaving us here as Stillmeadow. Although we are sad to see him go, we are excited for him and his family to adventure to this new experience and journey in their walk with Christ.

Read more about the transition here.

I conclude this message with the theme verse for Nazarene Youth Conference and our memory verse for the last part of our Romans series:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

We’re praying for you. Will you pray for us?
