Trunk or Treat and Volunteer Potluck
Hello Church Fam,
We love how God has gifted each one of you. And we are especially grateful for those of you who serve regularly. And we want to celebrate you and have some time for volunteer training on October 15 from 4:30-6:30. Sign up for our All Volunteer Potluck at www.stillnaz.com/volunteerpotluck.
The Question for This Sunday (Oct 8) and the Following Week:
Each week during our “All Church Series” on “How Not To Be The Church” we will have one question for all of us to wrestle with. From October 1-29, we will align our hearts around Jesus’ words in Matthew 21-22 and allowing His words to shape our imaginations. (Pastor John, Pastor Chris, Pastor Jade and Chastity and Pastor Rachel will all be preaching throughout this series, and I’m pumped)
What is one thing we can do in faith to decrease fruitlessness and increase fruitfulness within our homes and church?
Wrestle with this in your small group, in your home or with your friends. And if you’d like, send me an email with your thoughts (pastorjosh@stillnaz.com).

Pray with us
Let’s Pray with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries
The Sept 8 weekly prayer update included prayer for the Sudan Refugee Crisis, those impacted by Hurricane Idalia and for Holistic Child Development in Brazil. You can find specific ways to pray by following this link.
Let’s pray for the Fullers and the Youth and Young Adult Ministries
Two weeks ago, Pastor Chris and Emily announced that they are being called to serve in Loretto, PA, where Chris has been invited to serve as a prison chaplain. God is going to use this transition to strengthen our youth and young adult ministry. Just as God called Chris to take this next step, He is preparing us for our next step. So, please pray as we begin to plan the best path forward for this transition.
Give with us
God has given each of us gifts for us to share. In addition to giving a regular tithe, consider helping with our Crisis Care Kits and to Jonathan Phillips.
Crisis Care Kits — Nazarene Compassionate Ministries helps people affected by disasters, famines, etc, by sending Crisis Care Kits full of necessary supplies. You can find the list of supplies and instructions HERE.
Jonathan Phillips — We had the joy of praying with Jonathan when he was with us on Sunday. Let’s continue our partnership by supporting him financially in his ministry to the church and people of Romania. Select “Jonathan Phillips” on the online giving or write “Jonathan Phillips” in the memo line of your check when you give. Connect with him on facebook or follow his blog.
Do You Have Nominations For Church Elections?
On Sunday December 10, we will have our annual church board elections. Each Nazarene church is directed "to elect as church officers active members of the local church who profess the experience of entire sanctification and whose lives bear public witness to the grace of God that calls us to a holy life; who are in harmony with the doctrines, polity, and practices of the Church of the Nazarene; and who support the local church faithfully in attendance, active service, and with tithes and offerings. Church officers should be fully engaged in “making Christlike disciples in the nations.”" (For the rest of the manual statement) Stillmeadow board members serve three year terms. You can see our current leaders here.
If you have nominations, you may submit them on this form by October 16th. Our nomination committee will review the nominees and then contact them to see if they will allow their name to run for election.
