Exodus 12:1-13, 24-28, 19:1-6, 34:6-7, 1 Corinthians 5:7

Reflection Questions

  1. Begin with a prayer pause focused on a word, phrase or verse in Psalm 46.

  2. How are you doing at staying intentional each day with our reading plan or a reading plan? What is one thing God has been saying to you?

  3. The Rescuing God: Read Exodus 12:1-13, 29-42. What does this tell us about God and humanity? What’s the good news here?

  4. The Instructing God: Read Exodus 19:1-8. How do these verses help us understand the significance of God’s instructions in chapters 20-23? Why is it important to remember their call to be a kingdom of priests and holy nation?

  5. The Tabernacling God: In the middle of God’s instructions and Israel’s following of God’s instructions on the tabernacle, God reveals his character to Moses in Ex 34:6-7. What is one thing God is saying to you through that?

  6. Connect these Exodus stories to Jesus through these New Testament scriptures: John 1:14, Matthew 5:1-2, 1 Corinthians 5:7.

  7. Close in prayerful reflection. What is God saying to you about your own story? Is there something from which you need delivered? Do you need God’s wisdom in a certain area of your life? Are you living aware of God’s active indwelling presence?
