Mission Week, Strengths 101, VBS Volunteers

Dear Church Family,

Yesterday we continued our “Renew” series on Sabbath, leading up to my summer Sabbatical (June 3-August 18).

Check out the Stillmeadow Lane Service and the York City Campus Service recordings.

I encourage you to follow the Daily Readings and Reflections. In a very real way, daily reading and prayer is a way to remember that Jesus is Lord of Rest.

Listen to what the Lord of the Sabbath says:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

The Main Announcements

Among all the life activities of Stillmeadow, there are three big announcements this week. We have Mission Week, Strengths 101 and VBS volunteers needed.

Mission Week 2024

This year adults are invited to serve alongside the youth! Click this link to sign up your youth or to sign up to serve!

We’ll be joining Servants in their mission to serve our neighbors in York.

Strengths 101

Join us as we explore the unique ways that God has gifted you and how we can leverage God’s giftings to serve those He has put in our lives. Click this link to sign up.

VBS Volunteers Needed!

Say "YES" to VBS! - Join the Vacation Bible School team. From June 10-13, we’ll be exploring the good news of Easter with kids from 3 years old through elementary school.

Grow with us

No one matures alone. Check out our listing of other groups and let us know if you’re interested in one. If you’d like help, you can contact Karon Kagan (kkagan@stillnaz.com) or Pastor Tabitha Martin (pastortabitha@stillnaz.com).

The King Is Coming -A look at prophecy, current events and how to live in preparation for the return of our Lord. This class is taught by Wayne Sechrist and meets Sundays at 10:30 in the second floor large conference room at Sprenkle House.

Clay -A small group created for the discipleship, community, encouragement, and equipping of those geared toward the visual and fine arts. This group is led by Pastor Isabell Clark on the second Friday of each month from 6pm - 7:30 pm at the York City Campus.

 Serve with us

You have been gifted and we’d be honored to serve with you. We’d love to have you partner with Servants. And click the “Serve” button below for more opportunities.

Mission Week

We think this is so awesome, that we’re mentioning it twice in our email. :) This summer we are partnering with Servants to serve York on June 24-28. Youth and Adults can sign up here.

Pray with us

You can find a guide to prayer and submit a prayer request at www.stillnaz.com/pray. This week, let us pray for…

An end to racism and racial prejudice. All places of prayer or worship: churches, mosques, and synagogues. Universities, colleges, and technical schools. All who seek God.

Give with us

Floyd Cunningham

Floyd has been training pastors at Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary. He will be giving a presentation at Stillmeadow on June 16. You can support his mission by selecting “Floyd Cunningham” when giving online or writing his name in the memo portion of your check.

Love Offering for Pastor Rachel

Yesterday was Pastor Rachel Zeigler’s final Sunday with us at Stillmeadow. Help us bless her and her family on their journey of service at Hagerstown Nazarene. You can support her by giving to “Love Offering” when giving online or writing “love offering” in the memo portion of your check.

Congratulations

To Dalton and Jenna Heim who welcomed Beckham Aleksander Heim on April 22nd!

To Tyler and Allysia Warntz who welcomed Elliana Justine on April 6th!

I conclude a verse from our new series:

“Return to your rest, my soul,

for the Lord has been good to you.”

(Psalm 116:7)

Let’s rest in Him…
