Car Wash, Small Groups, Pastor Rachel Farewell

Dear Church Family,

Yesterday we continued our “Renew” series on Sabbath, leading up to my summer Sabbatical (June 3-August 18). We were encouraged by Brian Hull to remember who we are in Christ and to rest in Him.

Check out the Stillmeadow Lane Service and the York City Campus Service recordings.

I encourage you to follow the Daily Readings and Reflections. In a very real way, daily reading and prayer is a way to “catch our breath” with Him.

Psalm 116:7 says:

“Return to your rest, my soul;

For the Lord has been good to you.”

The Main Announcements

Among all the life activities of Stillmeadow, there are three big announcements this week. We have Car Wash, Small Groups and Pastor Rachel’s Farewell.

Youth Car Wash Fundraiser

Time to wash off the winter grime! And if you can’t make it or your car is already clean, you can donate at this link.

Small Groups

We believe that spiritual growth happens best in community, so we have small groups of community that meet throughout the week. One of those groups is our “King is Coming” Class, which dives into scripture to explore the theme of Jesus’ second return. You can check out the Church of the Nazarene’s Article of Faith on the Second Coming. And you can sign up for this group and others here.

Pastor Rachel’s Farewell

After 13 years of service at Stillmeadow and 22 years of participation, Pastor Rachel Zeigler is going to serve as Lead Pastor at Hagerstown Nazarene. Let’s send Rachel and her family off well! Click here for a list of ways we’re celebrating her.

Everybody is invited to our farewell send off potluck on April 28, 5-7PM!

We’ll have a time of blessing and farewells on Sunday night, April 28, from 5-7PM. You can sign up for the potluck here!

To Tyler and Allysia Warntz who welcomed Elliana Justine on April 6th!

I conclude two verses from our new series:

“Return to your rest, my soul,

for the Lord has been good to you.”

(Psalm 116:7)

and

“Come to me all who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.”

(Matthew 11:28)

Let’s rest in Him…
