Reflection Questions
Read God’s promise of deliverance in Micah 2:12-13. Now take two minutes to hold those words in your heart.
How is love the opposite of sin?
Micah shows that sin can be like a plague (1:9) and something that can be pre-planned (2:1). How have you experienced sin as infectious or premeditated?
Listen to God’s promises of deliverance in Micah 4:6-10 and 5:2-5a. What does this tell you about our God and King?
Read Micah’s description of God in 7:18-19. And read Micah’s call from God in 6:8. Why is it important to remember God’s instructions (6:8) and forgiveness (7:18-19)?
Read Hebrews 10:1, 5-10, 14. Why is it important to remember that Jesus’ loving sacrifice not only replaces the Old Testament law but also makes us holy?
How is love holy?
Hebrews 10:19-25 gives incredible instructions for the person who has been forgiven by God and freed to live like him. How does Jesus’ loving example spur us on to live in love?
Finish in prayer. Ask God to replace any disobedience or hatred with love. Ask him for eyes to see opportunities to love justice, walk humbly and spur each other on in love.
