True Leadership, Family Worship on 1/29, Souper Chili Bowl on 2/5

Dear Church,

Matthew 14 shows us two ways of leadership.

The first way is the way of King Herod. It is based in fear, directed by the shifting opinions of people, and results in spreading death.

The second way is the way of King Jesus. It is based in love, directed by the will of the Father, and results in spreading life.

Jesus’ way is the one that feeds the need, conquers the storm and endures forever.

What kind of leadership do you offer with your life?

Prayer

Father, release us from the opinions of others so that we may live according to your will at all times. Jesus, help us live with thoughtful compassion instead of knee-jerk reactions. Spirit, lead us in the way of Jesus so that we bring life to our families, neighbors, classmates, and coworkers.

We always have scriptures readings to go with our sermon series. This week we began a reading through "the Gospel of Matthew” to coincide with our current sermon series: “The Kingdom of the Beloved.”

A weekly support group for people in grief. Beginning Saturday, February 4th, this group will meet in Rm. 112 from 10AM-12PM. Pastor Kathy Foltz leads this group and can be contacted at: pastorkathy@stillnaz.com.

Stillmeadow Souper Chili Bowl is February 5

We’re hosting our annual meeting with stories from the last year at our first ever Souper Chili Bowl, from 4:30-6:30 on Sunday February 5 at our Stillmeadow Lane Campus. We’ll have a Soup and Chili competition too! Sign your soup up at the link below. If you can’t to bring soup, but want to join, bring a side or drink!

Annual Super Bowl Party

Sunday, February 12th at the York City Campus. Doors open at 6PM. Refreshments will be served. Donations of bottled water, tea, soda or lemonade appreciated. Invite friends, neighbors and co-workers. No sign-up required.

2022 Giving Statements

The generosity of God’s people has blessed Stillmeadow and its ministries here in York and to the world beyond.  Together our contributions shared the  Gospel, fed the hungry, supported the hurting, sustained missionaries, sent a team to Florida, gave children and youth a camp experience, and allowed our church to operate the two campuses. “Thank You!” doesn’t begin to express Ronnie’s and my gratitude for the honor shared with us this past Sunday (Jan. 22, 2023).  Thank you for the gift to the Hershey Hotel for a getaway from the church board and staff.  We have been blessed to minister at Stillmeadow for the past 25 years and look forward to our continued service to God and His kingdom here.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)
