Prepare for Fall ‘22

Dear Church,

What an incredible celebration at the Welcome Bash! We are so grateful to each person who played a part that day, from the food vendors to the people who stayed after to clean up, from the parking team to the worship team, from the greeters to those who made room for others to sit. Praise God!

As I read Jesus’ prayer in John 17 today I was struck by this:

The more sanctified we become the more unified we become. The more unified we become the more the world sees God’s love in us.

Jesus prayed for us to be sanctified and unified. His love liberates us from our sin, so that we can live a sanctified life. As we live that way, His love impacts our local area (family, neighbors, co-workers, teammates and classmates). And as we live that way, we find ourselves unified in Him, collaborating with each other to reveal His truth and love to each other and the watching world.

Join us in the daily readings on the liberating, local and collaborative love of God

Building Transition Update

We’re making progress in our building transition! The painting throughout the building is almost complete and the new kids welcome center is getting close.

Next: we’re updating the floors. The gym floor of the Family Life Center was painted this week and weekend (August 22-28). Then in September, we’ll replace the carpet in the café, children’s wing hallway, the children’s worship center and the Family Life Center.

After this we’ll be updating our worship chairs, decorating the walls and updating our cafe furniture!

We’re grateful for the many hands that are making light work!

Let’s continue to pray for all those doing the work and for the future generations who will benefit from it. If you haven’t had a chance to give to the Renovation Plus Fund to help with the cost of the new chairs, you can give here or in your weekly in person giving.

Missions Prayer Emphasis for September and October-South America

Because we want to be people who pray relentlessly, we cover the earth with our prayers through the year. For September and October, we’re asking God to provide for, protect and direct the work of these missionaries and to pour out His Spirit of justice, grace and truth over these countries in the South America region of the Church of the Nazarene.

Grace and Peace,
