Summer Prayer Journal, Camps and Retirement Class

Dear Church Family,

Yesterday we began the Sabbatical journey by enjoying and experiencing the Triune God together through worship and the breaking of bread. As part of my departing thoughts, I shared a modified version of the blessing that I offer to my children every night. Receive these in the love that I have for you. Until we meet again…

May the Love of the Father,

Mercy of the Son,

And Presence of the Spirit

guide you this summer.

(Make a circle on your hand) May the circle remind you

of His eternal love,

(Make a cross on your palm) May the cross remind you

of the greatest expression of that love,

(Clasp your hands together) May the embrace remind you

of the joy we share in Him.

And check out the worship service we shared yesterday at the Stillmeadow Lane Service.

Our summer weekly reflections and daily scripture readings are included in the summer prayer journal (see below for more info or download here).

The Main Announcements

Among all the life activities of Stillmeadow, there are three big announcements this week. We have the Summer Prayer Journal, Summer Camps, and A Financial Class called Financial Foundations: Investing for Retirement.

Summer Prayer Journal

Our summer series is exploring the 16 articles of faith of the Nazarene denomination. We wanted to walk through them slowly, so we made a prayer journal that includes:

  • weekly reflection questions for groups or individuals

  • daily scripture readings for personal or family devotions

  • All the articles of faith!

We also want to prayer walk our neighborhoods, so instructions are included on that as well!

Grab a journal at the welcome center or download it here.

Keystone Family Alliance

Keystone Family Alliance aims to educate, motivate, and equip every Christian in the state of Pennsylvania on the needs of orphans and vulnerable children, both locally and globally. We bridge the gap between the desperate needs in the child welfare system and Pennsylvania churches. By engineering wraparound Care Communities, Keystone Family Alliance provides tangible support, prayer, resources, and aid, resulting in foster families who are involved longer and stronger. I conclude with a favorite verse:

“When the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.”

(Titus 3:4-5a)

Let’s rejoice in and share that good news! I’ll see you on August 25!
