Youth Quarterly, Touch a Truck and next Financial Class

Dear Church Family,

What a wonder it was to celebrate our Resurrected Savior and witness 20 baptisms on Easter Sunday! Check out the Stillmeadow Lane Service and the York City Campus Service recordings and relive the moments.

Paul encourages the church in Colossae with these words: “just as you receive Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness” (Col 2:6-7). And then says, “you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world” (2:20) and “you have been raised with Christ” (3:1). Now, let’s live out the baptized life, the one that died and been raised with Christ, our Crucified and Resurrected Savior! He conquered death so we can live in Him, now and forever.

Follow the Daily Readings and Reflections

Each week we provide reflection questions and daily scriptures for personal and family growth beyond Sundays. Daily reading scripture is an essential way to live out the baptized life!

The Main Announcements

Among all the life activities of Stillmeadow, there are four big announcements this week. We have exciting and sad news about Pastor Rachel Zeigler. We also have the Youth Quarterly, the Childcare Touch-a-Truck Event and our next Financial Class.

Special Announcement about Pastor Rachel

After 13 years of service at Stillmeadow and 22 years of participation, Pastor Rachel Zeigler is being led by God to serve as Lead Pastor at Hagerstown Nazarene. Click here for the original announcement.

This is bittersweet, because she has been such a vital part of our church family at Stillmeadow, but we are confident that as God has led His church for centuries, that He will remain faithful to Stillmeadow and our kids ministry and Hagerstown as Rachel begins her ministry there.

We will have a farewell potluck party for her in the afternoon of April 28, from 5-7PM. We’ll have a potluck sign up available next week.

I conclude this message with the words of the angel:

“Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. HE HAS RISEN! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’” Mark 16:6-7

Let’s go and tell…
