Christmas Eve Services, Sabbath Sunday and More!

Dear Church Family,

Here is today’s Advent Devotional written by Pastor Kathy Foltz:

PEACE

H A B A K K U K   2 :  1  -   5

In this passage, the prophet Habakkuk has been crying out for judgment against  his people because of their sins. God is using a sinful nation to judge a sinful nation. No nation is innocent in this matter. God tells the prophet that He is going to make things right in his  timing.

For us this is a lesson of living by faith. If God has not solved a problem then it is because it is not God’s time yet. Moreover, by faith we have to trust that He  has good reasons for delay. However, there is one thing that is true; He will cling to us and embrace us through any confusion in this world as we wait.

It at times seems impossible that we will ever see peace in our hostile world  today, but if we wait patiently in faith all things will be made new and perfect.  At this time of the year, we should remind ourselves why Jesus came down to earth as God with skin on. Jesus was the promise that by faith all things will be made right. There will be no complete peace until Jesus comes back to earth. He is the promise of true peace. The Prince of Peace!

“For the revelation awaits an appointed time It speaks of the end and will not prove false Though it linger, wait for it; It will certainly come and will not  delay.” —Habakkuk 2:3
