Stillnaz Youth Family Update 8/23

Hey SNY Families,

Thank you for those who were able to join us for our parent cohort and family night last night! We’re officially in full swing of the fall semester. I am praying for you and your families as you enter this new season. If you missed the parent cohort you can find the resources shared there using this link. Next Tuesday will be a Fun 5th Tuesday, which is a great time for our students to invite their friends! Consider talking to your students about which classmates they can invite from school to get others connected in our youth ministry. May you find our rest and strength securely in God’s loving presence this season!

I love you LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. -Psalm 18:1-2

Grace and Peace,

-Pastor Chris

Upcoming Events

Aug 27: Welcome Bash & Baptisms

We are so excited to celebrate how God is working in the lives of our people on both of our campuses as we worship together and proclaim Jesus through baptisms!

Aug 29: Fun 5th Tuesday

It’s a 5th Tuesday this month and we are excited to celebrate the joy of the Lord through fellowship and games! It is a great connection night for students to invite friends from school, especially ones who may not be connected to another church!

Sept 8-10: Fall Retreat

Registration Closed

Fall Retreat is an awesome event where we get to stay in cabins, go on hikes, play games, and we even bring in A Day Awaits to lead worship for us that weekend. We ask students to leave their phones at home or with a leader for the weekend (cell service isn't very good there anyway) to unplug from the noise of the world and connect with God and other teens.

CATALYST: A 4-WEEK SERIES FROM HEBREWS ON SPIRITUAL GROWTH

SERIES OVERVIEW:

Sometimes the idea of "faith" can feel a little mysterious and hard to grasp. After all, what is it? And how do you get it — or get more of it? Well, just like science can explain so many of the mysterious and hard-to-grasp things in the world around us, there are answers for many of the mysterious and hard-to-grasp things about faith, too. You'll learn in science class that "catalysts" are interactions that create big changes and transformations. In the same way, Scripture shows us certain change-making "catalysts" are necessary for the transformation of our faith and the faith of others. In this four-week series from Hebrews, we'll discover that faith is a catalyst for actionthe faith of others can be a catalyst on our journey, Jesus is the catalyst for a new relationship with God, and we can be a catalyst for change.
