Sermon Text: Mark 1:16-18; Luke 24:13-35
Preacher: Tabitha Martin
How do we walk with Jesus?
Walking with Jesus
Walk in step with the Father
Go to places because you care about people
Share the priorities of the Kingdom of Heaven
Know the mission
Don't stand still
So what should we do?
Follow the leader
Surrender
Walk with Other
How do we do it?
Look at the places Jesus already has us as opportunities to care for people
Re-prioritize our schedules and distractions to set aside a time for rest and a time to go to our neighbors and build new relationships.
How will you storm the heights this summer?
Reflection Questions:
Read Mark 1:16-18; Luke 24:13-35 and then silently meditate.
Why do you think Jesus started and ended His ministry walking?
How are we like the disciples on the road to Emmaus? How are we different?
What is the hardest part about walking in step with Jesus?
What places are you currently in or feeling called to build relationships?
Do you think you “hold down the fort” or “storm the heights?” Which do you think our church does?
Which do you think is hardest: follow the leader, surrender or walk with others?
How can you and your group come up with a plan to walk with Jesus this summer?
