May 1–Half-Million Mobilization Prayer
Put it on your calendar to pray with Nazarenes around the USA/Canada Region from May 1-June 5 (Pentecost).
Over the next four weeks we’ll be breaking down prayer with the acronym P.R.A.Y.
P for Pause
R for Rejoice and Reflect
A for Ask
Y for Yield (or Yes)
When a Christian develops the prayer habit of pausing they
Remember the creative power and care of God
Remember the destructive power and deception of the enemy
Remember their sacred purpose of flourishing and bearing fruit
If you want to develop the habit of pausing, here are two recommendations…

Message Reflection Questions
Begin with silence.
What is your biggest struggle when it comes to prayer? Biggest joy?
What are your current prayer habits for your growth plan? (it’s okay if you don’t have a formal growth plan!)
Psalm 46:10 and Exodus 14:14 call us to “be still.” How easy is it for you to “be still” with God?
Read Genesis 2:5-9, 15-17, 3:1-9. What does this reveal about God’s relationship with humanity? How does that help us understand prayer?
Read 1 Peter 5:6-11. What does this teach us about prayer?
Read Psalm 92:12-15. What do you think is a fruitful and flourishing life of the righteous in old age? How does developing a posture of “being still” help produce that character?
What is one way that you add or strengthen the habit of pausing in your life?
Close in prayer and read 1 Peter 5:10-11 as the benediction.
