Responding to Hurricane Helene
Hurricane Helene caused damage across the southeastern states, especially North Carolina. The residents will be cleaning up and rebuilding from this storm for months to come.
Will you join us in helping with the clean up? Here are five ways.
Pray.
Volunteer for a Disaster Team Trip to North Carolina.
Give to the Stillmeadow Disaster Relief Fund.
Give to the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Fund.
Put together a Crisis Care Kit.
Pray
Let us all pray for the communities as they mourn for those who have died, as they grieve the destruction of their homes and towns, as they work to rebuild from the storm. Let us pray for the volunteers and organizations who are showing up to help. Let us pray for the officials as they guide the rebuilding process.
Want to join the team?
We do not yet have the dates for our trip, but the cost for travel and lodging is covered by Stillmeadow’s Disaster Relief Fund. If you want to help, fill out the form below. Ages 16 and above can participate, and all minors must be accompanied by a parent.
Want to give to the Disaster Relief Fund?
Stillmeadow keeps a “Disaster Relief Fund” to mobilize teams to go and help where disaster strikes. This enables our teams to travel without cost. Donate to the fund by check with “Disaster Relief” in the memo line, or give online at the button below and select “Disaster Relief.”
Want to give to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries?
From NCM, we read: “Nazarene church members, pastors, and disaster volunteers are serving in impacted communities. Adrian Camp and Conference Center, part of the Georgia District, was severely impacted. In Nashville, Georgia, the Church of the Nazarene sanctuary sustained heavy damage and may be unrepairable. Nazarene Disaster Response teams are mobilizing to travel to impacted areas to provide cleanup and recovery assistance, and many local churches are providing food, water, and Crisis Care Kits to their affected neighbors. Your gift will be used for immediate needs, long-term recovery, and rebuilding efforts.”
Want to put together a Crisis Care Kit?
Nazarene Compassionate Ministries helps people affected by disasters, famines, etc, by sending Crisis Care Kits full of necessary supplies. Assembling Crisis Care Kits is a great way for families to involve children who cannot volunteer to help or donate funds.
