May 5 Building Transition Update
Did you know that over the last 84 years of ministry in York (we were formally organized in 1938), we have had 7 different locations for Sunday adult worship? 1 on George Street, 1 on Princess Street, 3 different sanctuaries on Pine Street, and now 2 on Stillmeadow Lane. As God was faithful through all of those transitions, we believe He is being faithful in our current transition at our Stillmeadow Lane Campus.
In the last two years, we discovered new ways to more effectively use our Stillmeadow Lane campus. We can provide greater security and flow for our children’s ministries by having them worship in the Worship Center and meet on the east side of the building. This means we have moved adults to the 7th* location for worship in the Family Life Center on the west side of the building.
We are grateful to the volunteers, staff and the trustees of our board that are working together to update the building. Over the next couple weeks we’re cleaning out storage closets, taking things off the walls and updating our new adult worship space. As we grow, so does our need for storage. As we continue Christ’s mission, we are updating our walls to tell the story and mission of Jesus to All Generations.
Pray with us
As we follow Him through these transitions, pray with us that God will continue to reach people of every age, race and gender with His grace through our ministries. Pray with Jesus that we will be unified in following Him and making Him known to our community.
