Worship
We worship God because it is the appropriate response to our Creator, Redeemer, and Comforter. Our belief is that all people have a desire to worship something. Our mission is to point worshippers to God and His gift of salvation in Christ. We accomplish this through exuberant, illuminating, and welcoming worship experiences. We rely wholly on the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to accomplish this goal.
Therefore we gather to sing, pray, fellowship, and receive God's Word for us through Scripture and the leading of His Spirit. Our joy is in the Lord and not in ourselves.
"... if you call the Sabbath a delight and the LORD's holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way...then you will find your joy in the LORD!" -Isaiah 58:13, 14
Our purpose in the worship ministries is to be lead worshipers who exalt Jesus, and encourage others to do the same - as individuals, in our families, and as a church body. We put our confidence in Psalm 22:3 (that God inhabits the praises of His people), and Matthew 18:20 (that even on a holiday weekend, when the crowd is small, God is with us). So, the bottom line for us is...Worship Leadership!
This ministry is also a calling... we believe God calls each Christian, not just the pastors, to specific ministries for which He sovereignly has gifted them. The results are the growth of His kingdom and the building up of the body of Christ in love, as each person does their part. (See Ephesians 4:16).
