Children
Sometimes it seems the odds are stacked up against children:
divorce,
poverty,
media violence,
pornography,
drugs and alcohol,
emotional and physical abuse,
secular humanism
Let's be realistic. This is the world we live in. Do our children have a chance? Will today's children grow up to have a vibrant faith in God that will help them stand fast in such a world? Is there any way to help children grow up to love and serve God?
The task is overwhelming, yet God has commanded us to bring up children "in the training and instruction of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4).
We have a Children's Pastor who works hand in hand with the Children's Ministries Board and Children's Workers to see that the spiritual as well as emotional, physical and mental needs of our children are cared for in a loving and Christ-like manner. We are dedictaed to serving our Lord and fulfilling the call of Jesus, who said, "Let the little children come unto me."
To assist parents and guardians in this critical task, the Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene joyfully offers many programs for kids.
